When I moved to the Personnel Department at the Port of Oakland, Marie welcomed me with open arms and taught me everything I needed to know to be successful in the job. I found her to be one of the most honest and generous individuals I'd ever met. She had tremendous integrity and authenticity. She enriched my life in so many ways. I'm so greatful that she found Rick, who was so good to her and gave her 13 years of a very happy marriage, and grandchildren, after spending so many years of faithfully caring for her mother and other family members. In my book, Marie was the sweetest women that God ever made. If He made one sweeter, He kept her for Himself. She will always be in my heart, and I will miss her terribly. I wish her the best as she moves on to the next grand adventure. I
